The Program AIR6500 is the RAAF's $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems. AIR6500 will create a fully networked 'system of systems' that synchronizes air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision-making across the battlespace.
Your responsibilities will include: Guiding the AIR6500 Hardware solution and interfaces in the architectural model to the AIR6500 solution. Evaluating Hardware and non-functional related requirements, conducting product trades, and defining the sell-off approach. Working with Integrated Product Teams and System Architects to establish hardware requirements and sizing for AIR6500 elements. Leading the development of key AIR6500 technical documents and artefacts such as solution descriptions, trade studies, and requirements definitions. Work with a broad set of stakeholders across Lockheed Martin and design partners to achieve common goals.
About you: To succeed in this role, you will have:
Knowledge of packaging for ruggedized deployable land-based systems. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to develop and evaluate alternatives to determine best value based on customer performance criteria. Experience in 3D modelling with CREO or equivalent CAD software. Understanding of Model-Based Systems Development and engineering principles. Advanced verbal communication skills, including speaking and listening to customers. Special Requirements: Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
