About the Role
Reporting to the Coordinator Community Safety the core responsibilities include:
· Operate as an Authorised Officer in the delivery of Animal Management, Parking Compliance, Local Law Enforcement and other duties as required.
· Investigate reports and concerns relating to alleged breaches of Acts, Regulations or Shire Local Laws in accordance with standard operating procedures and work protocols.
· Prepare evidence for breaches of law to be heard in Court.
· Carry out the duties in accordance with safe work method statements and practices for all activities to minimize the risk of workplace injury.
About You
Experience in the investigation of complaints and law enforcement in animal management, parking, and local law compliance.
· Handling and management of animals including livestock.
· Experience in the hardware and software systems used in local government compliance.
· Experience in preparing briefs and giving evidence in the Magistrates' Court.
· Further education at diploma level in a related field or lesser formal qualifications with demonstrated work skills and relevant experience in a regulatory or law enforcement role.
Current Drivers licence and Working with Children Check.
