We care about the success of every customer’s project, whether it’s their first or their fiftieth.JOB DESCRIPTION:We’re looking for a Retail Sales & Warehouse Assistant to join our small but mighty team. This is a hands-on role with a mix of customer service, stock handling, order preparation, and general store duties. You’ll be helping customers, managing stock, packing orders, and keeping things organised — both on the shop floor and behind the scenes.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING WITH US:Retail Duties:Providing friendly, solution-focused service to help customers get the right product for their projectAssisting customers in-store, over the phone, and via email with product advice, sales, and general enquiriesProcessing sales through the POS system (register, EFTPOS, etc.)Handling returns, refunds, and customer support enquiries, escalating technical questions where neededRestocking shelves and maintaining clean, organised, and well-presented displaysWarehouse Duties:Picking, packing and dispatching online orders efficientlyReceiving, unpacking and quality checking incoming stockConsolidating stock, tidying shelves, and keeping the store, warehouse and workspace organisedCommunicating with the team about stock updates, order changes, faulty items, and customer issuesGeneral warehouse and admin tasks as required to support daily operations such as stocktakesLending a hand wherever needed — we’re a team that works togetherPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:Previous experience in retail, customer service, admin, or sales is highly regarded; eCommerce experience is a bonusComfortable using computers, POS systems, and learning new softwareSome experience with Shopify, Cin7, Starshipit, or eParcel platforms is advantageous but not essentialPhysically fit – able to lift up to 20kg and work on your feet throughout the dayStrong communication and people skills, with a friendly and approachable mannerMotivated, reliable, and able to demonstrate a strong work ethicQuick thinker, fast learner, and able to adapt to a variety of tasksReliable transportation to/from the business (Uber, Public Transport etc. is okay)A genuine passion for woodworking, timber, and epoxy – or a strong desire to learnWe understand that everyone's story and experience are unique, so even if you don't meet all the required job criteria but have passion & a willingness to learn we encourage you to apply and share your story with us.HOW WE’LL WORK TOGETHER:·Casual Position 20-30 hours a week, with progression to full time for the right applicant·Monday to Friday shifts with occasional Saturday shift if required·Business operates from 8am – 4pm Monday – Friday & 9am – 1pm on Saturdays·Casual Position 20-30 hours a week, with possible progression to full time for the right applicant·Business based in Loganholme QLD 4129 Australia·After a grace period, we offer the option to work from home most daysWHY JOIN THE HAMMER ROO TEAM?·Ownership over your work, from concept to execution·Flexible work-life balance: Great working environment with shift flexibility·Great working environment with a small bubbly team·Hands on experience with the latest & greatest woodworking gear·Generous staff discounts & usage of workshop & machinery (training required)WHAT’S NEXT?If you think you’re the right fit for this position, please submit your resume & cover letter to Info@HammerRoo.com.au.We appreciate every application and will review each one thoroughly.
