May Shaw Health Centre is a not-for-profit Aged Care provider. May Shaw Health Centre adopts a community minded approach at its Aged Care services in Swansea, St Helens and Scottsdale complimented by our Aged Care facilities in Swansea and Scottsdale providing a continuum of care to our local communities.
May Shaw Health Centre Inc. adopts a community minded approach at its provision of health, aged and home care services.
Our Swansea site incorporates a 50 bed Residential Aged Care Facility, 18 independent living units, an Urgent Care Centre, 3 sub-acute beds and a variety of Home Care packages and services. Our Scottsdale site incorporates a 61 bed Residential Aged Care Facility and a variety of Home Care packages and services.
About the Role.
The position is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role within May Shaw, as you will be responsible for the strategic financial direction and goals of the organisation, providing advice and business proposals to the CEO and the May Shaw Board of Directors. As Chief Financial Officer you will be expected to work across both sites and all programs.
This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and offers an exciting leadership opportunity at the forefront of changing market dynamics and strategic growth shaping a vibrant, healthy future for our communities.

The Chief Financial Officer would ideally be located in the heart of our communities, maybe, the coastal town of Swansea on the pristine east coast, or the historic rich Scottsdale near the bike riding capital Derby on the north-east coast.
Key Accountabilities.
* Facilitate and/or develop integrated business systems that will support effective operations and service provision across the Organisation.
* Ensure the long-term financial sustainability of MSHC through prudent financial management.
* Design and lead corporate financial strategic change initiatives across the organisation.
* Assist the CEO and Management in identifying new funding opportunities, drafting prospective budgets, and determining cost effectiveness of service delivery.
* Assist in the design, implementation, and timely calculations of wages and salaries for employees.
* Work with the Executive Team to oversee the maintenance of the inventory of all fixed assets, including assets purchased with government funds to ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant legislation or regulations.
* Attend and report to the Audit Committee, attended Board meetings as and when requested.
Key Selection Criteria
* Business Degree or equivalent
* CA or CPA qualified
* Demonstrable experience in a similar position.
* Demonstrated experience in the preparation and implementation of annual budgets, governance requirements, risk and financial management and strong business acumen.
* Demonstrated experience in care recipient agreements and knowledge and experience in contract management in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain an effective level of working knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations and apply accordingly to May Shaw Health Centre.
* Experience in the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of organisational financial systems/frameworks.
* Strong conceptual, critical thinking and analytical skills.
* Exemplary communication skills.
* Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement concepts and applications.
* High level competence in Microsoft Office software.
