About the role
New role for a Construction Manager to deliver maintenance work on the 132kv and 330kv transmission lines around Australia. Works include pole and structure replacement, structure maintenance and rectification, conductor and OPGW installation/replacement and defect repairs.
Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for the direction and control of all construction activities to ensure successful delivery including:
* Overseeing WHS, Environmental and Quality Systems for the entire worksite
* Supervising overall work group performance, including productivity, stakeholder engagement and compliance
* Coordination between subcontractors, internal staff and external stakeholders
* Work planning to ensure schedule and project outcomes are met
* Managing projects from start to finish, focusing on time, cost, quality, health, safety and environmental management including collecting data to produce claims
* Ensuring resource utilisation is cost-effective to meet budget needs
* Assist in developing and maintaining quality records.
About you
We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong commitment to safety, leadership, integrity and innovation. Your qualifications and experience should include:
* 5 years management experience (e.g. Foreman, Supervisor, Leading Hand) working on transmission line or substation construction projects or similar. Experience working 'live' and stringing is desirable but not essential.
* Proven experience in leading teams to deliver projects safely, on time, in budget and to a high level of quality.
* Knowledge of OHS and Environmental legislation, Codes of Practice and Standards
* Strong background dealing with contractor organisations and enforcing compliance with HSEQ performance measures.
* Current Drivers License
