Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of the workshop staff, you will play a critical role in maintaining our fleet of vehicles to the highest standard.

As a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic, your primary responsibilities will be:
* To diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble and ensure safety, quality and standards are followed at all times.
* Maintain all company vehicles and assets in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines.
* Ensure all maintenance work is performed according to company procedures.
* Attend breakdowns and carry out any field-related mechanical repairs.
* Effectively and efficiently communicate any safety or maintenance issues.
* Adhere to all Work, Health & Safety requirements while performing work duties.
* Maintain clean workshop practices.
* Ensure staff have adequate training to perform necessary tasks.
* Report and repair all accident damage as required.
* Perform ad-hoc tasks and other duties as directed.
Requirements
* Certificate III in commercial vehicle mechanical technology or above.
* Minimum 3-5 years working as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic.
* Mentoring apprentices to learn their trade and playing a critical role in their growth within the team.
* Day-to-day running of the workshop.
* Ensure adherence and understanding to WHS regulations and relevant company policies.
* Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Have experience working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules.
* Apply a proactive approach with a drive for continuous improvement.
* Be physically fit to carry out the necessities of the role.
* Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
* Hold a current Unrestricted Australian drivers license issued by the relevant State.
