About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Manager Digital Infrastructure, the Digital Infrastructure Network and Things Lead is responsible for leading a team delivering both technical and functional support across core network services and infrastructure. This includes Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations, maintenance, configuration, patching, and the management of incidents, problems, service requests, and changes.
The role spans core IT, OT, and IoT network environments, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and operating at optimal performance levels in line with business expectations. In this role, you will:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing network infrastructure team.
* Ensure operational and process documentation is accurate, up to date, and effectively maintained.
* Manage vendor relationships and monitor performance against contractual obligations and service levels.
* Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and align network services accordingly.
* Ensure the ongoing reliability, stability, and performance of Network Services across the organisation.
* Drive continuous improvement, automation, and optimisation initiatives.
* Oversee end-to-end service delivery aligned to SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations.
* Lead service governance forums, reporting, and continuous service improvement.
* Lead the delivery of infrastructure and capital projects from planning through to execution and close‐out.
* Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial performance across projects and operational initiatives.
* Lead incident, risk, and issue management processes, including root cause analysis and mitigation strategies.
You will bring:
* Experience in IT infrastructure, network operations, or service delivery leadership roles.
* Strong experience delivering infrastructure projects end-to-end.
* Experience with enterprise network and security platforms (e.g. Meraki, Fortigate, Aruba, Palo Alto, and Check Point).
* Knowledge of digital infrastructure technologies across IT, OT, and IoT domains.
* Experience in managing network operations, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and IoT networks.
* Financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and planning to ensure cost-effective network operations.
* Experience in network management within a regulatory compliance framework such as APRA, SOCI, etc.
* Cloud networking, particularly Azure.
* ITIL frameworks and service management best practices.
Performance of 'on call' duties are an inherent requirement of this role. This requires that the employee must be available to be on‐call and to attend to work matters, both in person and remotely, outside of normal working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, as reasonably required to fulfill the requirements of the position.
