About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our team of specialists in providing high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions. This is a unique opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects, ensuring optimal performance and utilization of facility infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Work Orders, interfacing with customer representatives, and orchestrating activities to align with overarching contract requirements. A proven track record in managing multi-million-dollar project portfolios, balancing resources while maintaining cost and schedules, is essential for this role.
In addition, we require someone with excellent organizational and leadership capabilities, who can guarantee the continuity of critical infrastructure operations and ensure smooth plant operations. Experience working in 24x7x365 mission-critical environments requiring close coordination with mission operations is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide electrical, mechanical, and civil/structural engineering support for construction/renovation activities, configuration management, maintenance, feasibility studies, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimates, and taskers.
* Review proposed infrastructure changes, support construction activities, assess impacts, and ensure changes comply with US Government and Host Nation environmental regulations and Site standards.
* Responsible for the management of Work Orders to include resource management and interfacing with customer representatives.
* Hiring, training, and leading a competent workforce to be versatile and technically savvy.
* Orchestrating activities to align with the overarching contract requirements and to ensure smooth plant operations.
* Guaranteeing the continuity of critical infrastructure operations, with a commitment to reliability for around-the-clock mission support.
Requirements
1. Possess an active TS/SCI with adjudicated polygraph or Host Nation TS/PV clearance.
2. A degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Controls) from an accredited university.
3. A minimum of seven (7) years of experience with design reviews and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) facility-related programs of similar size, scope, and complexity.
4. A minimum of five (5) years' experience as a Senior Project Manager responsible for supervising project managers, engineers, and sub-contractors.
5. Demonstrated experience managing a multi-million-dollar project portfolio, and balancing resources while maintaining cost and schedules.
6. Experience working in 24x7x365 mission-critical environments requiring close coordination with mission operations where continuous availability is essential and of the highest priority.
7. Demonstrated experience building recapitalization plans.
8. Ability to read construction design and equipment drawings.
9. Knowledge of process improvement models (e.g., LEAN/Six Sigma, ISO 9000).
10. Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Response Procedures.
11. Knowledge in MEP concepts of operation, and electrical generation procedures.
12. Demonstrated supervisory experience with excellent organizational and leadership capabilities.
