Civil Leading Hand – Sewage Treatment Plant

We are seeking an experienced Civil Leading Hand to join our team working on projects within a sewage treatment plant environment. This role involves supervising small crews and coordinating day-to-day civil works while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity on site.
You will play a key role in delivering civil infrastructure works including concrete, drainage, excavation, and pipe installation within operational water infrastructure facilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise civil construction crews on site
* Coordinate daily site activities and allocate tasks to team members
* Ensure works are delivered safely and in line with project specifications
* Read and interpret drawings and set out works where required
* Liaise with supervisors, engineers, subcontractors and plant operators
* Monitor productivity, quality, and site housekeeping
* Assist with site documentation including SWMS, permits, and pre-starts
* Ensure compliance with site safety and environmental procedures
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have strong civil construction experience and the ability to lead teams in a complex infrastructure environment.
Essential Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Civil Leading Hand or Senior Civil Operator
* Experience working on water, wastewater, or infrastructure projects
* Ability to read and interpret civil drawings
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* White Card
* Valid Driver's Licence
Highly Regarded:
* Experience working within operational sewage or water treatment plants
* Roller / articulated dump truck tickets
* First Aid certification
