About the Role
Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Manager, the Field Service Electrical Technician is responsible for executing planned electrical maintenance tasks, conducting breakdown repairs, and performing unscheduled maintenance within Zenith Power Stations.
The role offers a variety of responsibilities, a high level of autonomy, and combines a mix of hands‐on technical duties and customer‐facing responsibilities, including diagnostics, repair, and maintenance. Additionally, as a member of the team, you will be involved in the commissioning of new power stations.
What You Will Be Doing
* Planned and unplanned maintenance, fault finding/troubleshooting, and analysis of power generation equipment and associated ancillary equipment.
* Training staff in the day‐to‐day operations of power generation equipment and associated ancillary equipment.
* Maintenance planning and procurement of required equipment.
* New site mobilisation and operational readiness support and evaluations.
* You are expected to commit to Zenith Energy's HSE and environmental policies and actively ensure an incident‐free workplace.
* Relief operating when staff are sick or on leave, or as instructed.
Experience
What We're Looking For
* A minimum of five (5) years post‐trade work experience within the power generation industry.
* Proven technical knowledge.
* PLC and COMP experience is highly desirable.
* Jenbacher Engine experience.
Skills
* Proficient use of MS Excel, Word, and Project skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Competent typing skills.
Required Qualifications / Certificates / Licences
* Electrical Trade Qualifications.
* OHS Construction Induction (White Card).
* Valid WA Electrical License.
* Valid WA motor vehicle driver's licence, minimum C class (not restricted to automatic vehicle).
Desirable
* Formal PLC training.
* High Voltage Switching certificate.
* Supervised Gas Fitters Ticket.
* First Aid training.
* EWP licence.
* Forklift licence.
