About the Role
Join Toll Global Logistics as a Financial Analyst and play a key role in supporting our Government & Defence (G&D) business unit. In this pivotal role, you will provide essential accounting, finance support and reporting that strengthens our commercial performance and ensures we meet compliance, governance and operational requirements across the G&D portfolio.
As a true business partner, you will deliver timely, accurate and meaningful financial insights—spanning management reporting, financial compliance, KPI preparation, and analysis that empowers informed decision making. You'll also contribute to the ongoing improvement of our accounting processes, systems and reporting standards, ensuring our data integrity, efficiency and service delivery remain best-in-class.
Working closely with key stakeholders—including the Vice President Finance & Commercial, Commercial Managers, Finance Business Partners, Financial Analysts and our Shared Services teams—you will help align the G&D division with Toll's global finance processes and support scalable growth across a global operating environment.
A Day In The Life Of An Finance Analyst
* Deliver end-to-end financial performance reporting, including P&L, variance analysis, KPI reporting, insightful commentary, budgeting/forecasting, and SAP/Onestream submissions.
* Provide value‐add business partnering, supporting decision‐making, identifying cost and efficiency opportunities, and assisting with general accounting, finance and system matters.
* Lead core financial operations – month-end close, journals, cash reporting, FX activities, capex, fixed assets, lease accounting and SAP module close.
* Ensure high-quality financial governance, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory reporting, tax submissions, audit preparation, intercompany transactions and adherence to accounting standards.
* Drive continuous improvement and process excellence – refining processes, standardising documentation, contributing to system and procedural upgrades, and supporting productivity initiatives across finance.
* Support collaboration and team delivery, meet reporting deadlines, step in during peak periods, build financial models in Excel, and foster a diligent, detail-focused, office-based team culture.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Commerce discipline
* CA /CPA or equivalent
Skills And Experience
* Qualified finance professional with a strong grounding in financial and management accounting, covering Balance Sheet, P&L, cash management, tax, FX, fixed assets, treasury, project accounting and more.
* Advanced analytical capability supported by strong Excel skills, system proficiency and the ability to work across multiple specialist finance and ERP/reporting platforms.
* Strategic and solutions-focused mindset with strengths in problem-solving, financial analysis and continuous improvement.
* Collaborative team contributor with high office engagement, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to mentor, support and work effectively with others.
* Independent and influential communicator able to manage time effectively, work autonomously, solve problems, influence stakeholders and remain customer-centric.
* Strong commercial understanding of business operations, risks, opportunities and relationships, developing trusted partnerships with managers and administrative staff.
