Achieve Something Great
Step into a vital and highly specialised role where your expertise can make a profound impact on the lives of people who have experienced sexual assault, domestic violence, or family violence. As a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2, you will deliver holistic, patient‑centred, culturally responsive and trauma‑informed forensic and medical care to individuals aged 14 years and older. Working within a multidisciplinary and multi‑agency model—including NSW Police, the Department of Communities and Justice, and other care providers—you will provide comprehensive medical, forensic, and psychosocial support during some of the most critical moments in a person's life. This role is central to SWSLHD's vision of Leading Care, healthier communities, and contributes to a nursing service committed to compassion, quality, and improving the patient experience.
Are You the Right Fit?
You may be the right fit if you are a highly skilled and confident clinician who brings advanced assessment skills, sound clinical judgement, and a commitment to delivering care aligned with the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. As a SANE CNS2, you will provide senior nursing leadership, exercise extended autonomy in clinical decision‑making, and help shape specialist practice and service delivery. You will thrive in this role if you value multidisciplinary teamwork, can work effectively across agencies, and are passionate about trauma‑informed and culturally safe care. If you are ready to lead, support others, and contribute to an exceptional standard of forensic and medical nursing practice, you will find this role both challenging and deeply rewarding.
