Role Overview
The primary objective of this position is to deliver exceptional legal services to clients in a culturally sensitive manner, operating within a trauma-informed framework.
This role involves providing front-line legal assistance and casework support, with direct reporting to the Managing Lawyer. It requires collaboration as part of a national legal team and within Knowmore's multi-disciplinary model, alongside other teams delivering intake, social work, and cultural support services to clients.
Senior Lawyers will advise clients who are survivors of child sexual abuse on available redress and compensation options, including redress claims under the National Redress Scheme, and act on behalf of clients making such claims.
* Deliver high-quality advice and representation to clients regarding the legal implications arising from their experience of sexual abuse.
* Support the Managing Lawyer in leading service delivery to clients in a local office and collaborate with other Knowmore teams to ensure effective identification and actioning of clients' legal and related needs.
* Contribute as a professional member of a national legal practice, ensuring compliance with professional and corporate responsibilities.
* Assist the Managing Lawyer in conducting regular file reviews and monitoring service delivery standards, policies, and precedents.
