About the Role
Position: Occupational Therapist
Employer: Alfred Health (Bayside Health Group)
Location: Alma Road Community Care (ARCC - St. Kilda)
Employment: Full‑time, 80 hours + ADO, current opening until February 2027
Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. In January 2026 it will merge with Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to form Bayside Health, a new health service supporting a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical support and direct occupational therapy to clients residing at ARCC on a day‑to‑day basis.
* Conduct occupational therapy assessments to inform care planning and case review.
* Manage up to four individual clients, ensuring personalised, recovery‑oriented care.
* Supervise and provide shift support to graduate occupational therapists.
* Adhere to the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation when consulting with patients, carers and professionals.
* Participate in a rotating AM and PM shift roster, scheduled over seven days per week.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent from a recognised school.
* Eligible for membership of OT Australia, Victoria.
* Current registration with AHPRA.
* Experience working in a residential rehabilitation setting.
Desirable Attributes
* Strong commitment to recovery‑oriented practice for individuals with substantial and prolonged mental illness.
* History of ongoing professional development.
* Working knowledge of NDIS service provision.
* Australian working rights.
