AGRANA Fruit Australia is a global leader in fruit preparations and ingredients, supplying major food manufacturers across Australia and the Asia–Pacific region. We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our commercial function and support the continued growth of the Australian business.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager Australia and working closely with the Global Sales Team, the Sales Manager is responsible for managing the commercial operations of the Australian business. This role leads Sales, Account Management, Customer Service, and New Product Development, and is a key member of the Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and execute the commercial strategy for the Australian business
* Lead day-to-day sales, marketing, NPD, and commercial activities
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
* Deliver agreed sales, volume, and gross margin targets
* Identify and develop new business opportunities, including growth outside the dairy sector and into Asia–Pacific markets
* Oversee pricing strategies to ensure profitability and competitiveness
* Lead, coach, and develop the sales and NPD teams
* Manage the commercial budget and supporting action plans
* Drive cost minimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
* Represent AGRANA Fruit Australia within the industry and with key customers
* Ensure compliance with AGRANA policies, governance, and safety culture
About You
You are a commercially focused leader with strong experience in B2B food manufacturing and a proven ability to manage teams and customer relationships.
You will bring:
* 5+ years’ experience in sales or commercial management roles
* Experience in B2B food manufacturing (commodity-based experience preferred)
* Strong commercial and financial acumen
* Proven ability to manage key accounts and complex customer relationships
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Experience leading and developing teams
* SAP experience and strong general computer literacy
* A collaborative, customer-focused approach
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science or a related discipline (or similar experience)
