Working at Bunbury Regional Hospital

We are seeking suitably experienced and motivated trainers to join the Sterilisation Services Department (SSD) at Bunbury Regional Hospital.

Permanent, Fixed Term & Casual appointments are available at various hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Position Profile

Provides on‐the‐job training, up‐skilling, and support of new and inexperienced staff members and works in partnership to maintain the competencies of qualified staff in the SSD. Ensures the effective and efficient operation of the Sterilisation Service for cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation of reusable medical and surgical instruments/equipment in accordance with AS 5369:2023.

Eligibility to Apply

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).

WA Health policies require applicants to undertake a criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. As well as undertaking a criminal record screening and integrity checking, you may also be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre‐employment health assessment. We may ask referees to comment on your integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour. Adverse information does not necessarily disqualify an applicant but will be considered as part of the appointment process.

Pre‐Employment Health Assessment (PEHA) is required. Any offer of employment with WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is conditional on a satisfactory PEHA; an unsatisfactory PEHA will result in the offer being withdrawn.
