Hemisphere Freight Services Ltd are currently looking for a proactive, commercially minded Logistics professional to join our ambitious, expert team. Hemisphere are a UK based Global Logistics Provider with office's and warehousing facilities in Ipswich, Skelmersdale and London Heathrow which provide tailormade logistics solutions via air, ocean and road.
We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to help increase our brand awareness, introduce new customers to Hemisphere, grow a book of business, capitalise on any opportunities and help grow our team and presence in the UK.

It is important that our BDM's can act as logistics consultants for our clients and be able to recognise potential service and support opportunities for customers business. Where possible will also be able recognise supply chain efficiencies, provide solutions to any problems and all in all add value to our clients business.
Hemisphere's strength is in our ability to be able to advise on, find solutions for and manage all of our client's logistics requirements no matter the size, weight, type or nature of their products and the customs implications of those.
There is a great pool of manufacturers, industry, importers and exporters who Hemisphere would love to have the opportunity to offer our all-encompassing Logistics solutions to, with the intention of adding value and aiding in efficient and effective supply chains.

The Role Will Involve:
* Responsible for the continuous introduction of new clients to Hemisphere and ALL of our services
* Bringing in new clients and integrating them seamlessly within the Company,
* Developing and refining SOP's for each client with our Commercial and Operations teams
* Utilising our teams and infrastructure to source solutions to provide to our clients.
* Introducing key members of our Commercial and Operations teams to the clients
* Working with our Commercial team to convert opportunities to agreed service provision
* Feedback and work closely with the Commercial and operations teams to increase success rate
* Follow Directors and Manager's sales direction and strategy, as well as suggesting new potential opportunities
* Re-introducing Hemisphere to dormant accounts
* Attend relevant trade events and networks
* Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure we are meeting their requirements and maximising opportunities.
* Responsible for representing Hemisphere and our values professionally
* Consistency of branding and messages on all sales tools, documents, and communications
* Think about what you do, how you are doing it, how can we improve?
* We need fresh ideas either to improve our processes (including sales techniques), systems or increase/enhance the services being offered to our clients.
You will need to have:
The below experience and skills will give any applicant an advantage. We are looking to grow a team with varied experience and skills, some of what we are looking for are:
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Business Development or Senior Business Development Manager, Head of Sales or similar external sales role
* Driven and focussed self-starter
* Experience of maintaining a software based pipeline/CRM database
* Experience of working in Imports or Exports Operational roles
* Knowledge in required customs documentation and general Customs Compliance
* Bonded customs, Special/Simplified Customs Procedures
* Understanding of Inco Terms
* Additional declarations for specific destinations and origins
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Good problem-solving skills and geographical knowledge
