Central Australian Women's Legal Service (CAWLS) is a community legal centre providing free, confidential legal services to women across Central Australia. ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a key leadership position responsible for supervising lawyers, delivering legal services, and ensuring best-practice, trauma-informed support for clients. You will work closely with senior management to drive service excellence and positive outcomes for women and children.
Key responsibilities
* Lead, supervise and mentor a team of lawyers delivering DFV legal services
* Provide legal advice, casework and court representation (DFV, family and civil law)
* Oversee quality assurance, including review of legal documents and case strategies
* Manage and allocate caseloads, ensuring client safety and service priorities
* Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver holistic support
* Contribute to organisational compliance, reporting and continuous improvement
ABOUT YOU
* Qualified lawyer with a current (or eligible) practising certificate
* Demonstrated experience in domestic and family violence law
* Strong leadership and team management capability
* Excellent communication skills and client-centred approach
* Commitment to trauma-informed practice and social justice
* Ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and diverse client groups
