The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the PTA in the position of Surveillance Images Officer, and we are now seeking applications from suitably experienced individuals to fill this vacancy. In this position the successful applicant will provide an effective service for the storage, security, retrieval and management of CCTV digital imagery used within the TTO services group. The responsibilities include: maintaining an accurate record of all movements of CCTV digital imagery when transferring to the Police for their use; producing CCTV digital imagery and giving evidence in Court as required as well as liaising with Police, defendants, defence counsel and prosecutions officers in respect of viewing or production of CCTV digital imagery. The incumbent will also ensure that each of these officers is accompanied for the duration of each viewing. This position sits within the Transperth Train Operations Division (TTO) and reports directly to the Central Monitoring Room Coordinator.
To be successful in this role you must have:
1. Demonstrated and sound understanding of the rules for the protection and acceptability of evidence, including the ability to respect confidentiality at all times;
2. Well developed administrative and data entry skills including the ability to competently use appropriate video surveillance software packages;
3. Sound communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) including the ability to work as part of a team.
4. A current WA ‘C’ or ‘C-A’ class Driver’s Licence or equivalent.
5. A good level of physical fitness which is required to perform the duties of the position.
Please Note: To be eligible for appointment to a position, suitable applicants will be required to undertake a full and comprehensive medical assessment to verify physical and psychological fitness to perform the duties of the position.
There is currently one permanent, full time position available for an immediate start.
