We are currently seeking experienced and safety-conscious Riggers / Trade Assistants to join our project in Portland, VIC.
Key Details:
* Preference for locals – local candidates will be prioritised over LAHA.
* LAHA conditions – available for VIC-based personnel only.
* Roster: 4:1, working up to 13 days per fortnight.
* Hours: Up to 84 hours per week (maximum 12 hours per day).
* Accommodation: Provided.
Role Overview:
You will be working alongside boilermakers and welders to assist with the repair and replacement of grating panels, stairs, and handrails.
We are keen to talk to you if you meet the following requirements:
* Intermediate/Advanced Rigging Ticket
* Previous tank building experience is compulsory
* Construction induction card (White Card)
* Safe Work at Heights (valid within the last 2 years) - desirable
* Confined space ticket (valid within the last 2 years) - desirable
* Valid Driver's license
* Proof of right to work in Australia
* The ability to work within a team
* Must be physically able to perform manual tasks. This role is physically demanding and requires climbing stairways up to 90 metres (approximately 330 steps), assisting with the manual placement of large grating panels (with equipment support), and lifting to organize and sort packs of grating panels.
* High safety and quality standards
* Communication and time management skills
* Ability to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol test – mandatory and police check
