About City Of Port Phillip

We are a vibrant and diverse inner-city council stretching 20kms from South to Port Melbourne along the stunning bay beaches down to Elwood and out to St Kilda East with around 1000 people who all work together to deliver more than 100 programs and services to our engaged community of residents, businesses and visitors. What's The Role All About

Do you have experience in program planning and delivery? Are you passionate about public libraries and working with young people?

Port Phillip Libraries is seeking a proactive and driven Youth Programs Librarian with experience in delivering high quality youth programs that support learning, creativity and connection. You'll play an important role in fostering a welcoming and inclusive library service for our diverse community.

1 x part-time (.8 FTE) permanent opportunity.

What You Might Do
* Design, deliver and evaluate programs
* Develop internal and external partnerships
* Develop and deliver community outreach activities
* Contribute to the development of library collections
* Provide positive and engaging customer service

Who We Are Looking For
* You are positive and driven with a genuine passion for working with young people.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent relevant experience in a library, arts, education or community setting.
* Demonstrated experience in developing, delivering and evaluating youth programs.
* Strong relationship building skills, including with young people, and both internal and external partners.
* Experience in programming with digital and creative technologies is desirable.
* Current Working with Children Check.

* Evidence of a Working with Children Check (employee type with City of Port Phillip registered as the organisation).
