Our client, Sohi Produce is a farm in regional NSW that grows blueberries and blackberries of different varieties and aims to provide our customers with fresh and quality produce.

Tasks:

1. Oversee day to day operations of agricultural facilities, including sheds, packing areas, cold rooms, and storage areas.

2. Supervise harvesting support, sorting, grading, and packing activities to ensure produce meets required quality standards.

3. Monitor post-harvest handling processes, including cooling, storage conditions, and shelf-life management.

4. Coordinate and supervise farm workers, seasonal staff, and contractors across facility-based operations.

5. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality assurance standards, including relevant agricultural and biosecurity requirements.

6. Inspect facilities, equipment, and machinery regularly to ensure safe operation and arrange maintenance or repairs when required.

7. Manage inventory of packaging materials, chemicals, tools, and consumables used in farm operations.

8. Maintain accurate operational records, including production volumes, wastage, quality issues, and staff rosters.

9. Implement and monitor workplace health and safety procedures across all facilities.

10. Liaise with farm management regarding operational planning, labour requirements, and workflow coordination.

11. Oversee cleaning, sanitation, and hygiene schedules for packing sheds, equipment, and storage areas.

12. Ensure correct handling and segregation of produce to prevent contamination and quality deterioration.

13. Support audits, inspections, and customer requirements by preparing documentation and ensuring facility readiness.

14. Identify operational inefficiencies within facilities and implement improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and compliance.

Eligibility:

1. Have at least relevant AQF Cert III or Cert IV qualifications and Have 2 Years of working experience in a similar role in a farm setting. or equivalent or 3 years of employment experience with formal training OR 5 years of experience without formal training.

2. Strong understanding of agricultural production processes.

3. Attention to detail and quick decision-making to address quality issues, equipment failures, and operational challenges.

4. Proficiency in quality control and adherence to standards.

5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

6. Ability to coordinate with various departments and ensure compliance with regulations.

7. Possess a keen eye for detail to oversee product quality.

8. Strong organizational skills are also essential for managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
