The role will be primarily based in our Newcastle office.WSP has one of the largest Contaminated Site teams in Australia.

We put well-being, technical excellence, and innovation at the forefront of everything we do.Some of the projects the NSW team is currently delivering include:Property transaction due diligence assessments (Stage 1s)Environmental Site Assessments and Detailed Site Investigations (Stage 2s)Legacy industrial sitesTransport infrastructure projects including rail, road and portsDownstream oil and gas sites (Service stations)Defence projects including delivery of PFAS monitoring and remediation programsWhat you'll doConduct interesting environmental field works (e.g.
drilling, hydrogeological testing, site validation, monitoring) with varied considerations for safety and intricate geology/hydrogeologyCollect environmental samples of soil, groundwater, soil vapour, ambient air and landfill gas, etc.Interrogate large datasets, develop conceptual site models and prepare detailed and concise field notesAssist in the preparation of technical assessments reports and recommendations with the support of senior staffDevelop your contractor management, project planning and stakeholder communication skillsContribute to a culture of teamwork, innovation, and passion, promoting trust and unity among team membersUphold a strong safety culture and champion safety initiativesAbout youYou're likely to have 3+ years of environmental consulting experience with a strong field work component, and you're enthusiastic and reliable.
