We're seeking an experienced and driven Head Chef to lead our established kitchen team, at the warm, friendly and fast-paced Commercial Hotel in Boonah.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in busy services, enjoys developing people, and takes ownership of all aspects of a successful kitchen operation.

Our beautifully preserved Queenslander Hotel provides an elevated experience in Food, Bar, Gaming, and boutique accommodation.

About the Role
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the kitchen, including:
* Leading, mentoring and developing a strong team of chefs
* Managing day-to-day kitchen operations and service in a high-volume environment
* Menu planning, execution and consistency
* Ordering and receiving of goods
* Stock control, stocktakes and waste management
* Managing labour costs, rosters and productivity
* Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and cleanliness
* Ensuring a healthy, safe and compliant workplace within the kitchen
* Working collaboratively with venue leadership to support a growing pub that serves an amazing community
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a similar high-volume pub or casual dining environment
* Strong people leadership and the ability to develop and retain chefs
* Experience managing labour costs, food costs and stock control
* The ability to stay calm, organised and solutions-focused during busy services
* A genuine passion for hospitality and community-driven venues
* A hands-on approach and a strong sense of ownership
