We are seeking a commercially astute Manager – Accounting & Tax to join our Senior Finance team. Reporting to the General Manager – Tax and Finance, you will work with the CFO and Directors as a trusted adviser and joint 2IC across the Corporate Group and private entities. You will lead part of the finance team while overseeing tax compliance, governance and advisory matters across a complex group structure.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end tax compliance (Income Tax, BAS/GST, FBT, Payroll Tax, Payment Times Reporting)
* Assist with annual tax provision computations, tax-effect accounting and statutory disclosures
* Ensure compliance with Australian tax legislation, including Division 7A, trust taxation and private group structures
* Maintain and enhance the group's tax governance and risk framework
* Manage external advisors and auditors
* Mentor and develop finance team members
About You
* Degree in Accounting and CA or CPA qualified (mandatory)
* 10+ years' tax experience within a professional firm or large private/complex corporate group
* Strong expertise in Australian tax law, private groups and international tax
* Experience with tax governance and risk management frameworks
* Strong systems capability, including Xero
* Confident leader with strong analytical, commercial and communication skills
