Perfect for engineers with 1–3 years' site experience, this role offers the chance to embed yourself in large-scale civil subdivision projects. You'll work closely with experienced PMs and engineers, gaining exposure to every stage of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the planning and execution of subdivision construction activities, including roads, drainage, sewer, water reticulation, and utilities
* Interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure work is carried out correctly
* Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timelines and quality requirements are met
* Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
* Support the preparation of project documentation such as ITPs, RFI submissions, and as-builts
* Liaise with surveyors to manage set outs and ensure works align with the design
* Maintain accurate daily site records, including diaries, QA checklists, and reporting on progress and issues
* Assist in procurement of materials and scheduling deliveries in line with project program
* Ensure all works adhere to relevant standards, codes, and environmental regulations
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline
* 1–3 years' experience in civil infrastructure or subdivision works (graduates with relevant internships may be considered)
* Strong understanding of civil construction principles and relevant standards (e.g. Austroads, WSAA codes)
* Competent in reading and interpreting civil and structural drawings
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management or QA software (e.g. Aconex, Procore) is desirable
* Good interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with site teams, consultants, and clients
* Strong commitment to safety and environmental management
