About the role
WorkPac are seeking a Project Support Officer to provide essential administrative and operational support to the Transport & Infrastructure specialised pavements and projects business. You will ensure smooth execution of transactional and contract management processes, supporting project teams in their day-to-day administrative functions. This role involves coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders while maintaining accurate records and supporting operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
* Provide project support and administration across multiple functions
* Manage procurement to payment processes for suppliers and subcontractors
* Maintain manufacturing and inventory records
* Support accounts receivable including billing and invoicing
* Assist with contract administration and master data maintenance
* Coordinate travel, meetings, and onboarding/offboarding tasks
* Track and administer project-specific document control systems
* Support quality documentation submissions and other ad hoc project administration tasks
* Ensure compliance with organisational standards, safety practices, and operational processes
Skills and experience required
* Minimum 3 years' experience in project or contract administration
* Strong experience with ERP systems, ideally JD Edwards 9.2
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to manage competing priorities
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and other enterprise applications (e.g., Concur, CTM, Our Downer Portal, JDE)
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and document preparation
* Flexible, adaptable, and open to learning new skills
