Overview
This is a permanent full-time position commencing ASAP. The Integration, Build and Deployment Directorate is responsible for ICT Cloud and Infrastructure Services, Application Security Implementation, Solutions Architecture, Development and Maintenance, Testing and Assurance, and Data Management. The Directorate’s role is to build, integrate, and maintain technical solutions and infrastructure environments that address organisational challenges.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic and technical leadership across the lifecycle of the Department’s cloud and infrastructure services.
* Ensure reliability, maturity, and optimisation of the ICT environment to support current and future business requirements.
* Manage procurement and contracts to deliver value for money and meet technical standards for core cloud platforms, end‑user devices, network devices, servers, and business machines.
* Research and analyse to develop, implement, and maintain policies, frameworks, and technical standards governing these services.
* Lead application of technical procedures and industry‑aligned methodologies to ensure infrastructure solutions are well‑designed, secure, and fit for purpose.
* Identify and manage technical risks, aligning infrastructure initiatives with security principles and strategic objectives.
* Contribute to vendor performance management and continuous improvement activities across the ICT environment.

Eligibility
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before start.
