THE ROLE
YMCA South Australia is seeking highly motivated, passionate and professional people to join our Lifeguard team at The Valleys Lifestyle Centre. You will be expected to get around 10-20 hours of work per week. Expected work times: Early mornings, midday and afternoon shifts
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide active supervision to ensure the safety of all pool users
* Identify risks and respond quickly and appropriately to incidents or emergencies
* Deliver first aid when required
* Promote safe aquatic practices and encourage positive behaviours among patrons
* Assist with pool operations, including equipment setup, pack down, and compliance with safety standard
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE Y
Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:
* RRHAN-EC Masterclass – Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education & Care (whenever applicable)
* SISSS00133 Pool Lifeguard or equivalent
* HLTAID011 Provide First Aid or equivalent
* HLTAID009 Perform CPR or equivalent
