Salary: $84,470 to $93,865 per annum (HEW5) – pro‐rata for part time. Term: Temporary part‐time or full‐time. Location: Joondalup Campus.

About The Opportunity

Join a research team within Kurongkurl Katitjin at Edith Cowan University. The team includes passionate academic and professional staff dedicated to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and families. Researchers specialise in health services research, epidemiology, and evidence synthesis.

The Recruitment officer is a key member of the Maawit Maladjiny Clinical Trial; you'll help bring families on board and ensure their journey through the study starts smoothly and positively.

Your Role Will Include
* Connecting with families and guiding them through the recruitment process
* Conducting home visits that build trust and rapport
* Completing eligibility checks and consent documentation with care and accuracy
* Collecting baseline data to support high‐quality research outcomes

You'll work under the guidance of the Clinical Trial Coordinator, gaining hands‐on research experience in a collaborative and supportive environment.

About You

This role is advertised under section 50d of the Equal Opportunity Act and we are seeking Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates.

You'll Bring
* A tertiary qualification in a relevant health discipline such as public health, health promotion or childhood education, or equivalent experience, training or professional accreditation
* Desirable knowledge of early childhood development and/or child health with a desire to improve child development and health outcomes of Aboriginal babies and their families
* Demonstrated experience in research activities such as consenting participants, accurate data collection and completion of forms and documentation in accordance with protocols and timelines
* Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Outlook and Word

Current driver's licence and ability to drive to project sites and conduct home visits is a requirement for this role.
