Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. This entry-level role is perfect for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a strong foundation in accounting and financial services.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
* Perform general bookkeeping and data entry
* Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies
* Support month-end and year-end closing processes
* Preparation of Income Tax Returns for individuals and other entities
* Maintain accurate and organized financial records
* Liaise with clients and respond to basic queries
* Assist with ATO and ASIC compliance tasks
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or near completion)
* Familiarity with Australian accounting standards and regulations
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Effective written and verbal communication
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to learn and take direction from senior accountants

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 38 per week
