Our client, a key player in the mining sector, is seeking a motivated HSE Advisor to join their team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to workplace safety and environmental compliance within a dynamic industrial environment across their current portfolio of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and company standards.
* Manage Contractors and ensure they are in compliance with construction regulations
* Lead risk assessments and hazard identification processes, promoting proactive risk management.
* Conduct workplace inspections and audits, identifying potential safety issues and recommending corrective actions.
* Provide expert advice and support to operational teams on HSE best practices.
* Coordinate safety training sessions and awareness programs to enhance safety culture.
* Investigate incidents and near misses, preparing detailed reports and recommendations to prevent recurrence.
* Engage with stakeholders to maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
About the Role

This position is based at the client’s site in Oakley, Western Australia, where you will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe working environment. The role requires a hands-on approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and lead safety initiatives across various teams.

What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in health, safety, and environmental advisory roles, preferably within the mining or resource sector.
* Strong knowledge of Australian HSE legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
* Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams.
* Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Requirements
* Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (Desirable).
* Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (Desirable).
* Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
* Statutory Supervision
