**Required Technical Skills**:
Knowledge of Networking and Virtualization
Proficient in at least one or two scripting languages EG: Shell, Python, Perl.
Linux / Unix (Redhat/Centos Linux) Administration including Bash and Shell Scripting
Knowledge of GIT, GITLAB and CI/CD workflows
Experience performing complex incident investigation and customer restorations
Knowledge and experience in supporting and troubleshooting networking services and protocols such as: TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, LDAP, FTP, SSH, SNMP, SSL and SMTP
Zabbix or alternative monitoring
Ability to work with and enforce IT policies for operational procedures and compliance
Familiarity with virtualisation and containerisation technology
Familiarity with Public Cloud environments such as AWS, Azure
Working knowledge of server orchestration tools such as ansible, docker and Kubernetes

Redhat Certification
CCNA/CCNP Certification
Familiarity with Salt Stack or similar Configuration Management tools
Experience working in a DevSecOps environment
The Platform Engineer will be focussed on supporting a proprietary platform and components, network, in data centres, on-premises and in cloud deployments.
As a Platforms Engineer, you will work on:
Understanding of cloud technologies, such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), Security Software as a Service (SecaaS) Software defined networks (SDN), Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and other emerging technologies including automated deployment, and containerisation technologies.
Build and maintenance of Linux systems and complex platform and security services to infrastructure, products and services supplied and operated by telecom operators.
Provide L2 and L3 systems administration for Linux platforms providing gateway functionality Troubleshooting and solving systems and networking issues
Performance Monitoring & Incident resolution
Assist with automation of day-to-day tasks
Participate in 24/7 on-call roster as required
