We have an exciting opportunity for a Business System Support Officer to work with a State Government Department - fixed term 6 months.
The Business Systems Support Officer supports the Business Systems Analyst and Manager of the Planning and Development team to complement the work program of system maintenance as well as continuous improvement of cybersecurity risk management.
**Principal functions**
The principal duties of the person in this position include the following:
- Supporting IT system admin functions and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to perform those functions, including critical renewal of agreements with service providers like domain, SSL, etc
- Supporting the testing and integration of IT system upgrades
- Monitor systems and networks performance
- Assessing cybersecurity risks
- Assessing cybersecurity risks of the SQL database
- Developing options for improvement and addressing risks, if identified
- Discover, identify and analyse threats, attack techniques, vulnerabilities and mitigations
- Provide user awareness training
- Support security projects and enhancements
- Maintain and develop Security Operating Procedures and documentation
- Write, test, debug programs in high
- and low-level languages and scripts
- Updating documents within our information management protocol in a timely manner so that content is up to date.
