Mental Health Clinician - Community Mental Health
QLD Health is seeking experienced Mental Health Clinicians to join Community Mental Health and Acute Care Teams. These roles support adults (18+) experiencing acute mental health crises, delivering timely, community-based assessment and intervention. While this role is advertised in Brisbane, permanent regional opportunities are available across Queensland, offering exposure to diverse clinical settings and strong multidisciplinary support.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver community-based acute mental health assessment and crisis response
* Conduct triage, comprehensive biopsychosocial and risk assessments
* Provide short-term interventions, safety planning, and assertive outreach
* Coordinate care and referrals with internal and external services
* Work within Trauma-Informed Care and Recovery-oriented frameworks
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across hospital and community settings
Requirements
* Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy
* Current AHPRA registration or AASW eligibility
* Experience in acute and/or community mental health settings
* Strong risk assessment, crisis intervention, and care coordination skills
* Queensland Driver's Licence (or ability to obtain)

Criteria
* Qualifications : Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA without restrictions.

* Transportation : A valid driver's licence for regional and remote roles.
