**Role**:
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the operational services for the Specialist Sports Program including;
- SSV, Competition, Event Management (including excursions and camps) and co-ordination
- SSP Bookings and Administration
- Digital Marketing and Event Promotions
Student-Athlete recruitment (trials, clinics and co-ordination of these events) and retention (student numbers, names, sports etc)
**Responsibilities**:
- Form part of the WHC SSP Management Team
- _ Events, Camps and Competitions:_
- Manage and co-ordinate all Events, Camps, Excursions and Competitions for Netball, Soccer and Basketball (compass, communications, bookings, invoicing, purchase orders, buses, Council and DOT approvals, student communications, uniform distribution / collection / cleaning, team sheets, fixtures, consent etc).
- In addition, liaise with and provide managerial support in this area to the AFL program (upskill)
- Communicate all events school-wide to increase awareness and minimise impact on learning
- _ Bookings and Administration_
- Complete weekly bus and venue bookings for netball, basketball and soccer
- Order equipment and uniforms (as required) for netball, basketball and soccer
- Raise purchase orders and process invoices for above
- Provide a term report on sport costings (venue, buses, equipment, uniform) to SSP Leader for budgeting purposes
- Liaise with SSP leader regarding program budgets and available funds for bookings, buses and equipment, to ensure programs remain in budget
- Monitor WHC Mainstream events and activities that impact SSP bookings (cancel and communicate to SSP coaches and staff)
- _ DOT:_
- Attend DOT 1 period / week
- Communicate outcomes of SSP Events from DOT / Council to coaches and SSP Leader
- _ Student Enrolments and Recruitment:_
- Develop and implement with coaches of each pillar sport initiatives and recruitment activities to attract student athletes to WHC Specialist Sport Program.
- Where possible attend district and division SSV events, to identify potential future student-athletes and promote WHC as a pathway for them to consider
- Liaise with National Sporting Organisations, Primary School Staff, local clubs, alumni and other partners regarding WHC trial and sports clinics promoting our college.
- Attend, co-ordinate and communicate with families and SSP regarding student trials and clinics, supporting selection processes
- Make recommendations regarding SSP student enrolments. Liaise with the SSP Leader and WHC Enrolment Officer (Sophie Trezise), regarding student 'rankings¿ and sport priorities (females / sport / numbers etc).

Student Transition:_ Support the onboarding of new student-athletes to WHC (in conjunction with the Athlete Wellbeing support person), including family induction at Year 7, Year 8 - 12.
- _ Media and Marketing_
- Promote SSP to WHC social media platforms
- Liaise with Circus Media regarding WHC website, landing pages, content and social media - keep all content relevant, accurate and up to date
- _ Victorian High Abilities Program and Student Excellence_
- Support the teaching and learning VHAP program across the College.
- Supervise students in VHAP
- Utilise Student Excellence funding to find and provide opportunities for WHC students and leaders
- _ Other Duties as required;_
- Assist with the co-ordination of SSP parent-carer events (information evenings and educational sessions)
- Support student athletes with significant student absences due to sporting commitments by mentoring them pre and post absences, and by liaising with their teachers as applicable.
