Our Client:
Our client is a leading Earthworks company heavily involved in the Mining/Resources sector and are looking for an experienced Operations Coordinator who will be responsible for all aspects of the Civil and Mining operations coordination. Working closely with the Operations Manager and the leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all departments are running smoothly.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Co-ordinate the development of quality documents for the day-to-day site operations.
* Plan purchases, negotiate contracts and coordinate budgeting to make sure business continues as usual with minimal downtime or interruption.
* Act within the team with ownership of the asset, putting operations first & balancing business priorities.
* Promote a culture of safety within the workforce by leading by example and supporting safety policies and procedures.
* Delegating tasks appropriately to team members.
* Maintain a professional working relationship with all internal staff, Mine Site personnel, customers, and stakeholders.
* Report any safety suggestions, hazards, or risk management incidents.
* Conduct regular site visits each month to ensure KPI's, reporting and operations are being managed in line with business objectives and targets.
* Assist with implementations of Operations improvements projects.
Qualifications, Skills, Attributes and Experience required:
* Previous experience in a similar role within the Civil/Earthworks or Mining sector required.
* Tertiary Qualifications in Operations, maintenance, or front-line management is desirable.
* Excellent process monitoring and improvement skills.
* Effective planning and scheduling skills.
* Well-developed organisation skills and the ability to prioritise.
* Sound knowledge of risk engineering & risk management concepts
* Ability to clearly communicate instructions with multiple work groups.
* Available for regular travel to site required monthly for up to 5 days possibly more depending on site requirements.
* Excellent networking and Account Management skills.
