We specialise in delivering personalised disability support services to empower individuals with psychosocial disabilities, cognitive and intellectual disabilities, complex behaviours, neurodivergence, and those navigating life transitions or trauma. Our comprehensive services include Supported Independent Living (SIL), community participation programs, life skill development, personal assistance, and employment support. Role Description
This is a Casual, on-site Support Worker role based across the Gold Coast, QLD. The Support Worker will provide direct support to participants in line with their personal care plans. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, fostering independence, supporting community engagement, facilitating participation in social or group activities, and promoting skill development. The Support Worker will have drive and enjoy the role and will also ensure the wellbeing and safety of participants through compassionate care and adherence to safeguarding principles.
Qualifications
* Experience in support work and knowledge of person-centered care approaches
* Lived experience
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships
* Proficiency in safeguarding practices and supporting individuals with diverse needs
* Basic technical skills to maintain accurate records and assist with relevant systems
* Cert III or IV in Individual Support, Community Services, or a related field (preferred)
* Current First Aid Certificate and CPR qualifications
* Current yellow card
* A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
* Understanding of trauma-informed care approaches and NDIS systems is advantageous
