Education Specialist - Literacy and Numeracy Support
The role focuses on supporting schools in implementing evidence-based literacy and numeracy strategies to improve student outcomes. Key responsibilities include enabling school leadership and teaching teams to develop consistent and aligned instructional practices, as well as supporting the implementation of the multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) framework.
This position is critical in ensuring that all students receive a quality education and have access to the resources they need to succeed.
Duties:
* Support the development and implementation of literacy and numeracy programs
* Collaborate with school leadership and teaching teams to enhance instructional practices
* Assist in the implementation of the MTSS framework, focusing on Tier 1 instruction and processes for Tiers 2 and 3
Skills and Qualifications:
* Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013: Current Tasmanian registration required
* Full registration as a teacher under the Teachers Registration Act 2000
* Four or more years of training as defined in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award 2005
Employment Details:
* Fixed-term, full-time employment
* 70 hours per fortnight
