AMA Queensland invites an enthusiastic and professional candidate to join the R H Medical, Aesthetix team as Office Manager/Senior Medical Receptionist. This is a full-time role based at Auchenflower.

What we think you will do most days:
Communication
* Exercise confidentiality in regard to patient care and all aspects of the practice.
* Greet patients and other callers at the practice in a courteous and efficient manner.
* Keep patients informed of any delays.
* Deal with referring doctors and hospital staff courteously and helpfully.
* Answer the telephone promptly and courteously.
* Record messages and make sure they are attended to and brought to the attention of the relevant person.
* Make outgoing phone calls as requested and,
* Manage daily correspondence.
Appointments
* Assist the team with arranging appointments for patients following set booking procedures
* Update any information on digital medical records and in computer files.
* Obtain appropriate details from new patients to maintain the patient database.
* Gather referrals and any pathology if applicable in readiness for consultation
Finances
* Advise patients of the credit or
* billing policy of the practice
* Issue patient invoices and receipts
* Daily banking and reconciliation
* Attend to account queries (if possible) or refer problem to others if in doubt
* Maintain petty cash book and
* Follow up bad debts.
Productivity
* Responsibility for the overall operation and maintenance of the computer and telephone systems
* Develop, maintain and evaluate systems for things such as:
* Staff performance and staff training (if required)
* Fee recovery
* Purchase and use of consumables
* Provision of services to the Practice
* Asset maintenance and equipment registers
* Maintain records and recover debt
Other Duties
* Negotiate/confer with appropriate outside service providers on behalf of the practice
* Assign tasks and designate task types as appropriate to team members
* Approve annual leave
* Report to the Principal Practitioner as necessary and
* Develop and maintain appropriate practices and procedures for the Practice
