Job Summary:
As a Hook Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role with the responsibility for the loading, transport and unloading of a vast array of bins to various customers throughout Tasmania. The ideal candidate will be reliable, comfortable working independently, possess a strong work ethic, and be a valuable asset to our company.
Responsibilities
•Safely operate a hook truck to transport conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
•Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
•Ensure proper loading and unloading of bins.
•Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to ensure timely and efficient service.
•Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays.
•Report any mechanical issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
•Uphold the company's commitment to environmental sustainability and waste management best practices.
Requirements
•Valid HR/HC driver's license
•Previous experience as a hook truck driver or in a similar role would be beneficial, but full training is provided.
•Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
•Excellent reliability and punctuality.
•Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
•Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
•Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks as required.
•Flexibility to work occasional weekends and overtime.
