The Rural Generalist Nurse Practitioner will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care in rural settings. This position involves managing a diverse range of acute and chronic presentations across the lifespan, addressing patient and community needs through integrated care initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver accessible, person-centered care in rural settings, particularly where medical cover is limited or Virtual Care is relied upon.
* Create culturally safe partnerships to address priority populations, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, refugees, individuals with disabilities, and those experiencing homelessness or low incomes.
* Assess and manage clients using nursing knowledge and skills, referring patients to other healthcare professionals as needed, prescribing medications, and ordering diagnostic investigations.
* Provide outreach support to multiple locations, including Harden, Boorowa, West Wyalong, and Young, offering holistic care and promoting health education.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

* A strong background in nursing, with expertise in advanced and extended clinical roles.
* Excellent assessment, management, and communication skills.
* An ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
* Familiarity with NSW Health's governance and policy requirements for NPs.
