About the role
We are looking for Yard hand / Trainee batcher for an upcoming project based at onsite camp accommodation in the central west (Mudgee/ Gulgong Region).
You will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality concrete products, contributing to the growth and success of our company.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain Concrete Batch Plant equipment and machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures.
* Ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment, taking necessary precautions to prevent accidents or damage.
* Monitor and control the production process to meet quality and productivity targets.
* Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify any faults or issues and report them for prompt repair.
* Follow batch instructions and accurately measure and mix raw materials to produce concrete products of the desired specifications.
* Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
* Adhere to safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and housekeeping in the work area.
About you
Requirements
* Prior experience as a Batch Plant Operator in the concrete or similar industry is preferred.
* Knowledge of operating and maintaining equipment such as concrete batching plants, mixers, loaders, and forklifts is advantageous.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve equipment issues.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions.
* Understanding of safety protocols, procedures and commitment to following safe work practices.
* Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks as required.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
