Job Overview

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales within the grocery, retail, or pharmacy sectors, with a focus on developing long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.

* Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including grocery chains, major retailers, and pharmacy groups, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust.
* Sales Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute account-specific strategies to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth, identifying opportunities for product placement, promotional campaigns, and category expansion within retail and wholesale channels.
* Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their business needs, marketing strategies, and product requirements, collaborating on merchandising, promotions, and stock management to optimize sales.
* Negotiations: Lead negotiations on pricing, promotions, and contracts with key clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms while maintaining competitive pricing strategies and profitability.
* Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior, providing insights to internal teams to support product development and marketing strategies tailored to the retail and pharmacy markets.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, supply chain, and logistics to ensure product availability, marketing support, and efficient delivery to clients.
* Reporting & Analytics: Prepare and present regular reports on account performance, sales targets, market trends, and customer feedback, using data-driven insights to optimize account performance and sales strategies.

The Successful Candidate

* Experience: Background in a Key Account Management or Sales role, with a strong background in the grocery, retail, or pharmacy sectors, preferably with experience working with large retail chains.
* Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the retail, grocery, and pharmaceutical distribution channels in Australia, including trends, competitor landscape, and key decision-makers.
* Sales Skills: Proven track record of successfully managing and growing large accounts, achieving sales targets, and driving revenue growth.
* Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders across various levels of an organization.
* Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade in a competitive marketplace.
* Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, track performance, and use insights to develop actionable strategies.
* Travel: Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend business meetings across Australia.
