Senior Cyber Security Design Lead
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading system security design activities to achieve Commonwealth security objectives.
You will oversee the development of security architectures and ensure effective implementation, testing, and integration across incremental capability deliveries.
As a senior leader, you will provide strategic guidance, mentorship, and oversight of our cyber capability.
Your key responsibilities include applying cyber security standards and policies, reviewing security architectures, and tailoring processes to local needs.
You will facilitate communication and feedback between staff and drive functional governance.
* Apply advanced knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle and experience in Cyber Security architectural design and development initiatives
* Implement Cyber Security standards, directives, guidance, and policies within an architectural framework
* Review and validate security architectures and technical solution designs
* Support senior leadership by tailoring Cyber Engineering and cyber policies/processes to local needs, and identifying and reporting issues affecting cyber professionals
* Drive strategic capability development initiatives and support functional governance across local projects and bids
* Foster clear two-way communication and feedback between staff and the broader Cyber Engineering function
* Develop a positive and effective workplace culture that values both individual and team contributions
This role requires an advanced understanding of cyber security controls, significant experience in systems security engineering, and excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
