About the role
As a Quality Assurance Technologist, you will be reporting to the Laboratory Manager and will be responsible for the testing of raw materials, finished goods and the verification of production records to ensure timely release to customers.
* Location Murarrie, Brisbane Australia
* Reporting to Laboratory Manager
* Working Hours Rotation Shift (Monday - Friday)
Key responsibilities
* Perform routine QA tasks as outlined in the Quality Policies Manual and associated procedures and work instructions
* Finished product testing
* ATP swabs, Allergen swabs and hygiene inspections
* EMP swabbing
* CCP verification checks
* Input QA data into SAP system as part of positive release.
* Isolation of non-conforming stock as required
* Liaise with other Departments on site to ensure
* continual improvement of products and quality systems; and
* assist in individual problem resolutions
* Assist in shelf life testing and monitoring of RM and intermediates.
* Management of retention samples
* Internal auditing - Participate in internal audits of the site Quality System following the direction of the QS Manager and assist in routine GMP/bucket walks
* Ensure that Laboratory equipment and cleanliness are maintained
* Daily calibration of equipment before testing
* Raise a Non-conformance for out-of-spec product
Qualifications and skills
* Diploma or Degree level Food Science Qualification or relevant laboratory and/or Industry experience.
* Appropriate experience in food laboratories. (1-2 years)
* Open for fresh graduate with internship experience.
* Windows-based computer systems. SAP experience
* Ability to work across all shifts as required.
