Overview
Trinity Catholic College, Adamstown is seeking a Permanent Part Time Food Technology Assistant (18 hours per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays), starting May 2026.
Responsibilities
The position of Food Technology/Hospitality Assistant will be responsible for managing general cleanliness, tidiness, and smooth operation of the kitchen on a daily basis, as well as supporting teachers and the Food and Hospitality Faculty to prepare and coordinate supplies for lessons, the school community and events where required.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and to actively support the Catholic ethos and culture of the school
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate with school staff, students and the community
* Demonstrated knowledge of current food safety practices and standards
* Demonstrated ability to maintain equipment, resources and accurate kitchen documentation for Food Technology and Hospitality
* Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe working environment
* Demonstrated experience in food handling and preparation in a school environment or equivalent
* Responsibility for maintaining and regularly updating all Safety Data Sheets in the kitchen areas
Qualifications
* Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Current paid Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
Conditions of Employment
Salary is in accordance with the New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2025.
