We license lawyers and oversee service standards and conduct. This includes handling complaints about lawyers, investigating poor conduct and overseeing management of trust accounts. We are also the stewards of the public purpose and fidelity funds and administer these to support legal regulation and access to justice in Victoria. We are a modern best practice regulator, using data and insights to help identify where our actions can have the greatest impact on ensuring ethical and professional legal practice by Victorian lawyers. We're looking for an Assistant Manager, Costs Disputes & Compliance for a fixed term opportunity. You will lead and develop staff managing high-volume consumer and disciplinary complaints through resolution, mediation, investigation, and determination processes. We are looking for candidates with the following: * Demonstrated experience in customer service, complaint handling, or government/regulatory environments, including team leadership * Strong understanding of legal practice regulation and the interpretation and application of relevant legislation and case law * Highly developed communication, negotiation, and stakeholder relationship management skills * Proficient in information technology systems, with strong awareness of confidentiality and privacy requirements * A formal qualification or accreditation in Alternative Dispute Resolution or significant experience in dispute or complaint management That sounds like me!
