Healthcare Australia (HCA) is a major provider of healthcare services across Australia, including allied health, primary care, recruitment, NDIS, care services, and training.
In December 2024, we began providing health, mental health, and wellbeing services across the onshore Immigration Detention network. Our team of nurses, general practitioners, and allied health professionals offer a range of healthcare services, including health assessments, chronic disease management, health promotion, wound management, immunizations, and other primary health interventions. Our Yongah Hill detention facility operates very similar to a community clinic.
Join us in bringing a new approach to medical and wellbeing care for detainees by:
* Playing a pivotal role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of our clinical teams, using your effective communication skills to promptly and professionally addressing inquiries from a wide range of internal and external stakeholders- including those outside of our health centre in Northam (Yongah Hill Detention Centre)
* Scheduling and coordinating detainee health appointments; maintaining confidential databases including electronic health records
* Supporting the orientation and induction of new employee (with local leadership and our HR team), including oversight of accommodation and travel needs (with support from our Rostering and travel team members).
* Providing administrative support for meetings, including diary management, agenda setting and minute taking
* Ensuring accurate record-keeping and data management across multiple physical and electronic records management systems
This role is to provide casual administration support to a busy healthcare team (nurses and other healthcare professionals) and may offer up to 5 shifts a fortnight (8-4pm).
Let's talk about you!
This opportunity is ideal for someone who has previous administrative experience, alongside a passion for putting customers/patients at the centre of what you do. Working with database applications and or booking/scheduling appointments would be advantageous. Any previous exposure in a healthcare setting is a bonus.
You’ll bring your passion for Primary Health care and be rewarded with:
* Free onsite parking is available
* Free counselling services through the Employee Assistance Program, you can access free, confidential counselling to support your mental health.
* Be part of a well-respected Australian based organisation of more than 3,000 employees
