About Our Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Manager to join our team in Melbourne, with the possibility of a Director role for the right person. You will be given the chance to work with a multi-disciplinary team of tax professionals that have exceptional technical and industry knowledge.
Our ideal candidate will have skills in navigating various aspects of indirect tax and developing a wide range of skills while working with clients on federal and state tax matters like goods and services tax (GST), luxury car tax, fuel tax credits, stamp duty and land tax.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing advice and consultancy services across a range of indirect tax matters
* Acting as a primary point of contact for key clients
* Working collaboratively with the tax team and providing thought leadership and identifying client needs
* Maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients and being able to identify opportunities to add value
* Developing new client relationships and identifying opportunities to acquire new work
About You
* Having 6+ years' experience in either GST or state taxes
* Having a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or Law
* Having demonstrated experience working in a Professional Services, Legal firm, state-based Revenue Office or the ATO
* Excellent client advisory and communication skills
* Demonstrated experience working collaboratively as part of a team
* Ability to lead and mentor junior staff
